WHO ARE WE?

Founded in 1968, Oshkosh Earth Science Club is a group of people of various ages, professions and backgrounds all sharing a common interest in rocks, minerals, and earth sciences, banded together in a club that holds membership in the Midwest Federation and the American Federation of Mineralogical Societies. Our Purpose is to enjoy, to learn, to teach and to share our interest in rocks, gems, fossils, minerals, lapidary arts, geology and earth history.

We have a youth group, the Diamond Hunters, that provides, free of charge, educational earth science activities, classroom learning and field trips. The youth learn and then demonstrate their knowledge to the public.

We run a Lapidary Workshop for our members to learn lapidary skills to create their own beautiful objects!
